There are places that can transport guests to a completely different corner of Europe. Villa Love has been delighting visitors for years with its Tuscan architecture and peaceful atmosphere, so it’s hardly surprising that Zuzanna and Macaulay chose this very spot to say ‘I do’.
Although they live in England, they chose Zuzanna’s home region as the venue for their wedding. For many of the international guests, it was their first chance to experience a Polish wedding and, at the same time, discover a place whose atmosphere is more reminiscent of Tuscany in Italy than of southern Poland.
There’s something truly special about Villa Love. All the key moments of the day can take place in a single space, meaning guests don’t have to move around and can focus entirely on celebrating these shared moments.
This arrangement also makes life much easier for the photography and videography teams. Instead of wasting time on logistics, we can focus on observing the people, their emotions and all the little moments that later come together to form the story of the film.
The civil ceremony took place in a specially prepared area on the grounds of Villa Love. Surrounded by family and friends, Zuzanna and Macaulay exchanged their vows, marking the start of a new chapter in their life together.
After the ceremony, everyone gathered at the Prosecco Tower, where the bride and groom personally poured glasses of champagne for their guests.
It was one of those moments that perfectly captured the spirit of the day – unhurried, with smiles all round, and celebrating every moment together.
One of the most important elements of the whole wedding was the speeches.
It is these that very often form the heart of our films. They allow us to tell the story of the bride and groom in their own words and through the eyes of their loved ones.
This time, Macaulay’s speech particularly stuck in our minds. He spoke about how he met Zuzanna, what the early days of their relationship were like, their engagement, and why he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.
There was nothing artificial or exaggerated about it. Just sincere words that moved not only family and friends, but us as well. It is moments like these that remind us why we so often return to the speeches during the editing process. Years later, they often hold even greater value than they did on the wedding day itself.
This wedding was special to us for one more reason.
On that day, we were producing a Same Day Edit – a short film, just a few minutes long, edited and screened during the wedding reception.
It’s always a major organisational challenge. Whilst the wedding is taking place, we’re simultaneously selecting shots, editing the footage, choosing the music and preparing the finished film, which guests can watch that very same evening.
We love that moment. Seeing the reactions of the bride and groom and all the guests, who, just a few hours after the ceremony, can relive the most important moments of the day.
Zuzanna and Macaulay’s wedding brought together people from all over the world, yet on that day, everyone spoke the same language — the language of emotion.
These are the stories we love telling most. Stories where the most important things aren’t the decorations or the schedule, but the people, their relationships, and those fleeting moments that happen only once.
