Tłokinia Palace – a place we return to with great enthusiasm
Although we’ve had the pleasure of working at Tłokinia Palace on several occasions, we’ll probably never tire of the place. You can feel that unique atmosphere there, which returns every time we step through the Palace gates and head off to greet our bride and groom. As for the couple, we signed a contract with Agnieszka and Ben well before their wedding, and the whole undertaking was a big unknown for us. The most important piece of information I remember from that time (It’s no secret that we often sign contracts for wedding films two years before the planned event.) It was that, on their wedding day, the couple would be carrying out their own ‘activities’. They wanted their wedding day to look completely different from the standard format of such celebrations. This came as a surprise to us, but it also sparked our fascination and curiosity. As the wedding day drew ever closer and we got in touch with the couple to finalise the arrangements for the day’s events, we learnt that their activities would consist of the groomsmen playing golf and the bridesmaids doing Pilates. Now that’s what I call a way to relax before the wedding. You’re probably wondering how on earth they found the time for it. What’s more, the golf round lasted over three hours. But the bride and groom managed their time brilliantly. It made things much easier logistically that the wedding preparations, the ceremony and the reception were all held at a single venue, namely Tłokinia Palace. The golf course was just a few kilometres away from the venue. In the footage we’ve put together, you can see what a fantastic time the gentlemen had.

We started the day early. We met up with a photographer we know, and we got straight down to work. After taking some photos around the Palace, we moved on to capturing shots of the natural surroundings, details of the bride and groom’s outfits, and architectural details. Tłokinia Palace has plenty of these to offer, and there’s something interesting to be found round every corner. As the day went on, we got to know more of the couple’s family and friends. Most of the guests had flown in from England for this special day. Agnieszka and Ben are very lively people. We certainly couldn’t complain about a lack of moments that would make for great material. Decorating the tables, catching up with loved ones, handing out little gifts and sipping prosecco were all activities that kept our bride and groom busy. Whilst the men were still resting after a round of golf, the ladies were already running about the palace’s interiors, dressed in dressing gowns specially prepared for the occasion. Time was running out fast, and the palace clock was slowly ticking towards the start of the ceremony.

It was one of those days when we didn’t have to leave the grounds. The ceremony took place in a beautifully decorated gazebo on the Palace grounds. Outdoor weddings are among our favourites, and here, moreover, we had no trouble with the harsh sun, which sometimes plays tricks on us. We were sheltered by rows of beautiful, stately trees and the aforementioned gazebo. The bride was led by her father, only to meet Ben a few moments later. They hadn’t seen each other for even a fraction of a second earlier that day, only to spend the whole evening, the whole night and their whole lives together.
