Some love stories begin quite unexpectedly. Magda and Victor met in Ibiza, and a few years later they said ‘I do’ during a humanist ceremony at Zdunowo Palace.
It was a wedding that brought together not only two people, but also two cultures. Family and friends travelled from all corners of the world, and the Polish-Mexican wedding had a unique energy right from the start. Despite their different languages and traditions, everyone formed a single, very close-knit group, celebrating the day together.
The wedding planners from Wedding Space were in charge of organising the wedding, allowing Magda and Victor to focus entirely on savouring the moment.
The preparations took place in the palace rooms, surrounded by close family and friends. It’s a peaceful moment of the day that always allows you to catch your first breath before the ceremony and see how the excitement builds with every passing minute.
For us, it was also a time to capture all the details that the bride and groom had prepared for their guests.
One of the elements that immediately caught the eye was the wedding marquee.
Instead of traditional decorations, greenery took centre stage. The tables were adorned with impressive arrangements resembling small trees, complemented by white flowers and striking installations suspended from the ceiling.
It is details like these that create the atmosphere of the film. We always try to take a moment to capture them, as they later become a natural backdrop to the bride and groom’s story.
We also used a drone to show Zdunowo Palace from a completely different perspective. The surrounding park, with its old trees, perfectly emphasises the character of this place.
The humanist ceremony took place on the palace grounds, beneath one of the impressive natural landmarks.
It was led by Victor’s cousin, which gave the whole event an even more personal touch. It was not merely a ceremony conducted by a celebrant, but a story about two people, crafted by someone who had known them for years.
Such ceremonies always have a unique atmosphere. They are not based on set formulas, but on genuine memories, relationships and emotions.
After the ceremony, the guests made their way to the wedding marquee, where the celebrations began.
Even before dinner, the best man’s speech and Victor’s welcome address were delivered. It is moments like these that often form the narrative backbone of our films. Years later, they allow us to revisit not only the events, but also the words spoken at the time.
The guests had travelled from all corners of the world. Alongside the Polish family, Victor’s relatives from Mexico and friends living in various countries were all enjoying themselves. Despite cultural differences, it was clear from the very start that everyone felt perfectly at ease in each other’s company.
This diversity created a remarkable atmosphere. Languages, traditions and temperaments mingled on the dance floor, but the emotions were exactly the same for everyone.
Looking back at Magda and Victor’s wedding, it was impossible not to feel that what mattered most was the closeness between people.
Not the venue, not the decorations, and not the perfectly planned schedule — although every detail had been carefully considered. What made this day truly special were the people who had travelled from all over the world to come together and celebrate the story of two people in love.
These are exactly the kind of weddings we love to capture in our films. Weddings where every connection, every glance, and every conversation becomes part of a bigger story.
