Grodzisk Greenhouse – Karolina and Rafał’s civil wedding and disco-themed reception

Karolina and Rafał chose Szklarnia Grodzisk as the venue for their wedding reception – a venue decorated in a modern yet charming style, capable of hosting receptions for up to 190 guests. It is also one of those venues that provides a beautiful setting for an outdoor civil wedding ceremony, which is what Karolina and Rafał opted for. However, before we arrived in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, the wedding preparations took place at the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw.

Preparing for a wedding is a time when the bride and groom not only fine-tune their outfits, but also look for a moment to relax. Chatting with loved ones, a glass of champagne and having fun in front of the camera certainly help – as does the panoramic view of Warsaw from the Bristol Hotel on Krakowskie Przedmieście. Karolina was completely at ease in front of the camera, which meant that, both during the wedding preparations and after the ceremony, we were able to capture lots of fascinating shots. These shots were a must for their wedding music video. The bride and groom were accompanied by their closest friends and family during the preparations. The bride’s stunning look is particularly noteworthy – the Laurelle gown was perfectly suited to Karolina’s beauty and personality. Once they were both ready, it was time for the ‘first look’ – that moment when the groom sees the bride in her wedding dress for the first time, a tradition still practised by many couples. On this occasion, the bride’s father was by her side.

The Grodzisk Greenhouse, situated half an hour from Warsaw and 45 minutes from the Bristol Hotel, transports us almost instantly from the big city to an oasis of tranquillity. The complex, set within 6,000 m² of green space, has been designed in a style that blends modernity with tradition. The thoroughly contemporary design, utilising wood and glass, has created a truly striking effect. Large glass panels – reminiscent of a greenhouse – open up the interiors to the green landscape, adding charm both by day and after dark. Refined décor, attention to every detail, delicious cuisine with the option to arrange a bespoke menu, and friendly service are further highlights of Szklarnia Grodzisk. Another highlight is a special venue for outdoor civil weddings.

This type of ceremony is growing in popularity – it is highly praised by both the bride and groom and the wedding guests. The setting, which is more pleasant (especially on hot days) than the interiors of most registry offices, and the convenience of not having to travel from the wedding ceremony to the reception venue, also encouraged Karolina and Rafał to say ‘I do’ right here. After the ceremony, the guests traditionally offered their best wishes to the bride and groom, and we also heard speeches from Karolina and Rafał’s closest friends and family. Once the official part was over, the party kicked off with a wild disco-style celebration – this was the very theme of Karolina and Rafał’s wedding. DJ Kuba Król, the iconic disco balls and the fantastic atmosphere successfully drew all the guests onto the dance floor.
