Linda and Emil’s wedding and reception took us to Ostoja Chobienice. It wasn’t our first visit to this venue, and we were delighted to have the opportunity to film another wedding here. It turned out, however, that the day was even more exciting than we could have imagined. Linda and Emil are a bride and groom who provided plenty of excitement for all the guests – and for us too. Very open and full of positive energy, they inspired us to create a wedding music video in which the seemingly disrupted chronology allowed us to present this story in the best possible way. ‘In order’ doesn’t always mean ‘in the correct sequence’ – and that was certainly the case here. Find out how we structured the narrative of Linda and Emil’s wedding film.
When editing a wedding film during the post-production stage, we always ask ourselves: how can we best capture the wedding day and reception so that the story we tell truly reflects the unique character of the bride and groom and all the events of their wedding day? We present the emotions, dynamics and backdrop of all the key moments in such a way as to maintain the coherence of the entire narrative. That is why, whilst producing Linda and Emil’s wedding documentary, we deliberately chose to break with the chronological order of events. Thanks to carefully selected music, we were able to recount the day exactly as it was – full of varied moments, surprising twists and interesting fleeting instants, through which we crafted a harmonious story, with each passing second revealing the next chapter of this tale.
Couples who are just starting to plan their wedding often wonder whether it really makes sense for us and wedding photographers to capture the wedding preparations. Our answer is always the same – absolutely! There’s so much going on during these pre-wedding events! Conversations, often full of memories, as well as countless gestures, smiles and moments of reflection, are all elements that perfectly build the narrative of the wedding. Many bridal couples, after the wedding, admit to us that the closer they get to the wedding ceremony, the less they remember – stress and emotions take their toll. That’s why we always tell bridal couples that it’s definitely worth capturing the wedding preparations. Linda and Emil were getting ready with their loved ones at Ostoja Chobienice, where the wedding reception was held. Even here, they couldn’t hide all the emotions that accompanied them during the wedding ceremony. There was no room here for acting, staging or anything feigned – the bride and groom helped us create a natural wedding documentary. If we can speak of any planned actions at all, we were able to attempt them during the outdoor photo shoot. However, we always leave the bride and groom plenty of space so that, in their wedding film, they see themselves as they really are, rather than playing roles. The reception, just like the preparations, the wedding ceremony and the whole day, was full of positive energy. Excellent music, entertainment for the guests and, of course, the bride and groom themselves encouraged everyone to have a great time. If you think we’ve mentioned the emotions and positive energy of our bride and groom too often, be sure to watch Linda and Emil’s wedding video – you’ll see we were right!
