Gabrysia and Lawrence

October 4, 2026
Gabrysia and Lawrence’s international wedding at the Czosnowski Palace near Warsaw

Some weddings make it clear right from the start that what matters most are the people and their story. This was certainly the case at Gabrysia and Lawrence’s international wedding, which took place in the elegant interiors and gardens of the Czosnowski Palace near Warsaw. Justyna from WellWedding was responsible for organising the day, ensuring that every element formed a cohesive and well-thought-out whole.
The ceremony was humanist in nature and was conducted by Szymon from Pan od Ślubów. Instead of standardised formulas, the guests heard the story of how Gabrysia and Lawrence met, and later witnessed one of the most personal moments of the entire day – the couple’s own vows, which they had prepared especially for one another.

A wedding film begins well before the ceremony

We worked as a pair at this wedding, which allowed us to tell the story of the day in even greater detail. Another huge advantage was that the preparations, the ceremony and the reception all took place in one venue. This meant we didn’t waste time travelling between locations; we were able to observe the events at our leisure and make the most of every moment.
Whilst one of us was filming the preparations, the other could focus on the details, the decorations and shots of the palace and its surrounding gardens. It is precisely from such seemingly minor elements that we later piece together the story of the whole day.
Gabrysia was getting ready in one of the palace suites with her friends. From the morning onwards, there was a calm atmosphere there – make-up, hairstyles, conversations and lots of laughter. No rush, with plenty of time to share these moments together.
One of the more personal moments during the preparations was the presentation of small gifts to the bridesmaids just before she put on her wedding dress. The girls were able to pause for a moment, chat and share this special morning together. These are exactly the moments we love filming the most. We don’t interfere with the course of events, we don’t ask people to repeat gestures, nor do we interrupt natural emotions. We try to be attentive observers, so that the film captures exactly those moments as they really happened.
Meanwhile, Lawrence was getting ready one floor up with his groomsmen. Once he’d finished getting ready, he met up with his mum, and moments later he was greeting the arriving guests. Gabrysia, for her part, had a touching reunion with her dad, who walked her down the aisle.

A humanist ceremony filled with personal words

The ceremony took place in the palace gardens. Szymon from Pan od Ślubów conducted it in a very personal manner, recounting the story of the bride and groom. The highlight was Gabrysia and Lawrence’s personalised vows, which gave the whole event an incredibly intimate feel.
The atmosphere of the day was also enhanced by all the carefully crafted details organised by Justyna from WellWedding. Personalised menus, elegant decorations, handkerchiefs provided for emotional moments and live music ensured that the whole occasion was cohesive and polished down to the smallest detail.

Time for a chat rather than a queue to exchange greetings

After the ceremony, the bride and groom decided against the traditional line of well-wishers. Instead, guests were free to spend time in the gardens of the Czosnowski Palace, chat, enjoy a glass of champagne and simply savour each other’s company.
This approach created many natural moments which, from a film perspective, are incredibly valuable. Smiles, spontaneous conversations, hugs and encounters with loved ones often tell us more about the day than staged shots.

Just a few moments for them

Gabrysia and Lawrence entered the wedding reception venue to the sound of charming little bells, which created an incredibly warm atmosphere.
Before the reception began, we took a moment for a quick outdoor photoshoot. This is when we can allow ourselves a little more creativity, but even then, authenticity is our top priority. We don’t stage every moment. We let the bride and groom spend time together, chat, relax and enjoy each other’s company. This results in photos that don’t look like a photo shoot, but like genuine memories.

An evening full of emotion and good music

Gabrysia and Lawrence’s first dance took place to a song by Etta James. Moments later, it was time for speeches from the groom and his best man. They were very personal, full of gratitude and memories, which is why many guests found them to be one of the most moving moments of the whole day.
In the evening, the Cocons Club band took over the dance floor; they had previously entertained the guests during the ceremony and the garden reception as well. The live music created a fantastic atmosphere and ensured that the dance floor remained full of dancing guests for a long time.

Why do we like weddings like this?v

As filmmakers, we believe that the best stories aren’t created by staging events, but through careful observation. Gabrysia and Lawrence’s wedding was full of precisely such moments – sincere glances, spontaneous smiles, conversations and emotions that arose naturally. It is these moments that ensure that, years later, the wedding film is not merely a record of the day’s events, but a story you’ll want to revisit.
